I had a coworker telling me about his father that he’d never met before. My coworker “Bob” was born on 9/11 and his father passed away on 9/10, he found this very ironic. He continued to “impress me”(sarcasm here) by explaining to me his dad is Italian and connected to the mob. Should I have been impressed? Really?
I have to say, I’ve found myself in this worldly trap of “who I know.” Somehow it brings importance to me as a person and makes me feel more relevant to whom I’m speaking to. But, in reality, I’m sure it’s as annoying to the person I’m talking to as it was to me while listening to “Bob.” And that is what spurred me to write this.
Instead of bragging about seeing a top Christian artist in concert, shouldn’t I flex my bragging rights by humbly letting others know I’m more relevant and vital as a daughter of the one TRUE KING?
While it may be hard for nonChristians to grasp this, think of the opportunity we have to show others what living a life in Divine Favor is all about! As God’s child, we have security, peace, joy, unconditional love, freedom, abundant grace, righteousness, wisdom, revelation, knowledge, authority, power, mercy, strength, redemption, rooted in faith, healing, self-control, we’re the head and not the tail, we only go up and not down in life. Praise God and Amen!
If you are reading this, I’d like to encourage you to brag on who you are in Christ, because that is what matters for eternity!
